RE Inspection - January 2016

Dear Parents,

It is with great pleasure that we share our report following our recent R.E Inspection.

Our children were wonderful ambassadors and a great credit to you, their parents. We are so proud of them, who together with our staff have worked so hard, with dedication, particularly in a turbulent time, to achieve high standards in Religious Education.

The behaviour, manners and courteousness of the pupils are excellent…They are confident and articulate …and are wonderful ambassadors for the school.”

The inspectors made particular reference to the high level of spirituality and reflection within our pupils.

“The ‘class worship’ observed...planned, prepared and led by the pupils is an example of excellent practice. The follow-up opportunities for pupils to reflect, through stillness and express their thoughts in writing indicate their keen and loving relationship with God.”

We especially thank those parents who met the inspectors and also those that returned the questionnaire. It is greatly appreciated.

There was an overwhelming positive response to the questionnaire where 94% of parents agree or strongly agree with what the school provides for their children . … the parents spoke avidly of the way the school nurtures the faith of their children and how it impacts on their own faith and spiritual development.”

“Parents who met the inspectors spoke with sincere appreciation of the way the school supports, guides and nurtures their children in their faith.”

The Leadership and Management judgement is significant considering the staff changes – we are very happy with how the school has moved forward since September and will continue to build upon the solid foundations and progress that have been highlighted in the report.

The acting senior leadership team work cohesively together and model excellent relationships with and between colleagues, and with the pupils, across the community. The governing body has every confidence as the school moves through this next stage on its journey with the senior leadership team.”

We thank our Governing Body for their continued support and guidance to us all.

The governing body are fully committed to the strategic direction of the school…they are passionate in their vision and determination to drive the school forward.”

We can indeed be very proud of our whole school community and it is my privilege to be the acting Headteacher of this wonderful and highly successful Catholic school, as we are clearly reflecting our mission: “Learning our faith, living our faith, loving our faith.”

Please read the report below.

Yours sincerely
