ADVERSE WEATHER UPDATE - SCHOOL CLOSED FRIDAY 2ND MARCH 2018
Dear Parents / Carers
After careful consideration we have taken the decision to close the school tomorrow, Friday 2nd March 2018. I have spoken to our Chair of Governors, Mrs Sandra D’Souza-Zerkhfaoui today, and both she and I feel that the icy conditions present a real danger for children and staff travelling to and from school. Weather conditions are forecast to deteriorate during the night with temperatures dropping further and more snow predicted.
Whilst I know that this may be inconvenient for some of you, please be assured that this decision has not been taken lightly. Our primary concern is the safety and wellbeing of the children. Both Mrs D’Souza-Zerkhfaoui and I wanted to let you know this information ahead of tomorrow in order to give you time to make necessary arrangements.
Please note that 1F’s assembly will now take place on Friday 9th March 2018 at 9.30am. The ‘Book Swap’ and ‘Sponsored Spell’ has been postponed until further notice.
School will re-open as usual on Monday 5th March 2018.
