The Governors at St Michael & St Martin Catholic Primary School, chaired by Paul Lemaire, are responsible for working with the Headteacher and senior management team to set the strategic priorities for the school. Our specialist work is carried out by two committees, Finance and Premises chaired by Paul Lemaire and Curriculum and Catholic Life chaired by Shane Burns . As a Catholic school, most of our Governors are Foundation governors appointed by the Diocese of Westminster. We also have representatives from parents, staff and the local authority. The Headteacher and the Parish Priest are permanent members.

We are a very active group and our meetings are always well-attended. We will be seeking parent volunteers to join our subcommittees, so if you are interested, look out for that request in the school newsletter. Governors have to declare annually if they have any business interests with companies which may have dealings with the school and sign a disqualification form. (No Governors currently have any business interests which could disqualify them)
