Meet Ray, our lovely Grandfriend who comes to school twice a week.

Working with Ray is the highlight of some pupils' week, giving them an opportunity to form a friendship across the generations; learning from Ray's wisdom and creating a sense of connection and belonging for both parties.

Ray spends time with lots of different children and has had such a positive impact on their language and social skills, whilst also developing their empathy. The simple activities that the children and Ray do together creates a rhythm for them, that feels like family. We love witnessing in real time how this very special intergenerational relationship can have such a positive impact on everybody involved.
