In this special Year of St Francis, we are working towards achieving the CAFOD - Live Simply Award . This award is our opportunity to respond to Pope Francis’ invitation in Laudato Si' to ‘work with generosity and tenderness in protecting this world which God has entrusted to use.’
Pope Francis is telling us that an important part of our faith is to care for creation and to develop respect for everyone in our world. Gaining the Live Simply award allows us as a community to take this action, to help our community live, not just more simply but also more fully. The award celebrates what we have already done and inspires us to do more.
As a school and wider community, we are called to look at our lifestyles and choose to live SIMPLY, SUSTAINABLY and in SOLIDARITY with those who live in poverty.

On Friday 13th February we were delighted to receive the LiveSimply Award in recognition of the school's response to Pope Francis’ invitation in Laudato Si' to “work with generosity and tenderness in protecting this world which God has entrusted to us”.
"It has been a pleasure to hear about your faith-inspired actions, demonstrating how you have been living simply, sustainably, and in solidarity with communities around the world living in poverty. This is a fantastic achievement, and we warmly congratulate you, your pupils, and your staff team."

However, our LiveSimply journey doesn’t end here. We are committed to continuing the mission of living simply, sustainably, and in solidarity with others.
Next Steps:
Continue developing our school garden to grow more food for the kitchen and local community.
Take part in new CAFOD campaigns to stand up for global justice.
Reduce waste and energy use across the school.
Keep praying and reflecting on how we can live out our faith through everyday choices.
Together, we will keep building a community rooted in gratitude, care for creation, and love for our global family.
Thank you to everyone who supported our LiveSimply journey — pupils, parents, staff, parish, and CAFOD. Your encouragement, prayers, and generosity have helped our school community grow in faith and action.
