We have had great success in interschool sport this year to date with our most prestigious success being achieved during the last week of the spring term.
Our year 5 & 6 Football team represented Hounslow at the London Youth Games at the Crystal Palace Nation Sports Stadium and won this tournament. This tournament has over 6000 competitors and to be crowned ‘Champions of London’ is an amazing achievement.
Both our year 5 & 6 and our year 3 & 4 selected teams competed at the Borough Sports at Brentford Leisure Centre and came fist in these events competing in each one with 52 other schools.
Our tag rugby team won the borough year 5 & 6 finals at Grasshoppers rugby club and represented Hounslow at the London Youth Games.
Our Netball team came 3^rd in the year 5 & 6 Borough finals.
We have had children compete in various Judo competitions gaining Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.
Our children have had many opportunities in experiencing and trying a wide variety of sports. We hope these opportunities will lead to a preference in a particular sport for our children.
We have also had great community links with the London Broncos, London’s only professional rugby league team who through Chris Baxter has developed and coached our rugby league children. We were also lucky enough to have the Rugby League World Cup Trophy come and visit us before the Rugby League World Cup that takes place later this year.
Also a big thank you for all your support during our speed mark fundraising event.  Your generosity is very much appreciated which will allow us to purchase Sporting resources for your child/children’s sporting development.
