Summer

Year 6 trip to Osmington Bay

Once again it was time to go off to Osmington Bay with Year 6. We set off in wet, gloomy weather but by
the time we had reached our lunch spot the sun was shining. After a rather warm coach journey we arrived
at the PGL site. The view from the top of the cliff is stunning and we were fortunate enough to be in
accommodation that looked out on it. We were guided around the camp and then made our way to our rooms
so that e could unpack and get ready for dinner. The food was excellent and then we went to our first activity.
At the end of the evening we celebrated a birthday, had drinks, tidied up and went to bed.
A great first day and we can't wait for tomorrow!

Saturday

We woke to a sunny but very windy Saturday. There were several different activities in the morning but we
were all going Dragon boating in Weymouth in the afternoon. It was quite chilly die to the wind and we were all glad that we had something warm to wear. Breakfast was lovely and the Trapeze, Aeroball, Archery and Survivor activities were all brilliant!
The instructors are really helpful and we all learnt new skills. After lunch (again delicious!!!) we got ready for Dragon Boating but because of the very high winds it would have been dangerous so we all got to do Rafting! we went to Weymouth on a coah and had to put on waterproof clothing. We were in teams of 12 and had to make a raft from scratch and then sail it!!! We got very wet at the end but it as the best fun! We'll never forget the afternoon at Weymouth.
