Year 1 Victorian Day

On Wednesday 27th November, Year 1 thoroughly enjoyed their 'Victorian Day'. The children immersed themselves into a Victorian school setting, starting the day with a drill, exploring the countries Queen Victoria ruled over and experiencing some of their daily lessons in separate classrooms, with the girls sewing and the boys making catapults and airplanes out of wood. These cross-curricular activities enabled the children to experience working on blackboards through the day and understand life as a Victorian child.
